Assessment on the Satisfactions of the Web-based Video Lectures of Fetal Echocardiography Instruction Program

Abstract

|
Objective: In this study, we assessed the satisfactions on the web-based video lectures of fetal echocardiography instruction program.
Methods: We constructed web site of video lectures on fetal echocardiography which had characteristic images of several fetal cardiac diseases. Total of 25 subscribers were included for the surveys on satisfactions of web-based instruction programs.
Results: We made a web-site online; www.fetalecho.co.kr. Among total of 456 subscribers, 332 subscribers (72.8%) disclosed their professional titles. One hundred and ninety-four subscribers (58.4%) were obstetricians, 27 subscribers (8.1%) were pediatricians, 21 subscribers (6.3%) were other specialists, and 90 subscribers (27.1%) were radiographers. Total of twenty five subscribers completed the survey on satisfactions on web-based instruction programs, and eight (32%) were fully satisfied with the program, where as 12 (48%) were somewhat satisfied, 4 (16%) were intermediate, and 1 (4%) answered somewhat insufficient, but no one answered that the programs were insufficient. Mean score of pretest was 5.16 and mean score of test after website education was 7.64.
Conclusion: The web-based video lectures on fetal echocardiography might be useful and satisfactory instruction programs not only for obstetricians but also for radiographers.
